THE EXPERIENCE | NFL ALUMNI
HISTORY: The first Super Bowl of Golf (SBOG) started on October 31, 1980. Every year, the winning teams from each chapter’s qualifying tournaments get free invitations to the championship playoff. This event happens at a warm resort the following spring. The SBOG goes along with the NFL Alumni’s Annual Meeting and switches between east and west coast locations each year. The Super Bowl of Golf’s winning team will receive championship rings, inspired by the famous Super Bowl rings.

Each group of four players, led by an NFL Alumni captain, forms a team of five. They play a scramble format to win a spot in the NFL Alumni’s Super Bowl of Golf Championship. The night before, at a VIP reception, NFL Alumni team captains are chosen in a draft based on their sponsorship level and donations.
All teams will be provided with a tournament forecaddie who becomes part of the team. The forecaddie will spot shots from the tee, locate stray balls, calculate yardages, and read greens, etc.
Conversation With a Champion provides an unparalleled opportunity to get to know NFL Alumni. Tournament players will enjoy a seated meal and a live Q&A with the event’s Guest of Honor, moderated by Tomas Martinez III, Publisher of Luxury Home Magazine.

Since 1984, The Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation has provided over $11 million in scholarships to help students achieve their dreams of higher education.

THE COURSE | TPC SAN ANTONIO
TPC San Antonio opened in January 2010 with two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by two of golf’s most innovative architects: Pete Dye and Greg Norman. Both courses have played host to TOUR events with The Oaks course serving as the venue for the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open since 2010. The Canyons course was the site of the San Antonio Championship, a PGA TOUR Champions event.
TPC San Antonio is a private resort, only accessible to their club members and their guests as well as guests of the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa. In addition to two challenging golf courses, TPC San Antonio features a 23-acre practice facility with two putting and short game practice areas as well as the best in golf instruction in San Antonio. Golf lessons are available for all skill levels. Whether are a beginner or seasoned golfer, TPC San Antonio has a program that can be custom fit to anyone’s needs.

The NFL Alumni Association’s Caring for Kids, in proud partnership with the Rey Feo Scholarship Foundation, invites all event sponsors to an unforgettable evening where excitement meets purpose. Guests will witness the highly anticipated Super Bowl of Golf Qualifier “Draft Pick,” where team captains are selected in order of sponsor donation level, setting the tone for a night of friendly competition and community celebration.
Set against a red-carpet backdrop and attended by athletes, executives, Fiesta Royalty, and celebrities, the evening will feature live music, curated bites, and handcrafted cocktails.
